11th Assigment

A shared narrative

The life and times of Christopher Toph

Christopher Toph might seem like a regular run-of-the-mill troublemaker with his shaggy, shoulder-length black hair and with his ripped-jeans-leather-jacket fashion sense but he's anything but that. Sure, you don't get very far with first impressions when your fingernails are painted black but it is not without a reason; the black varnish hides the ink stains on Toph's nails from his paintings.

He is sometimes difficult to deal with but at the end of day everyone seems to like him. This one time he bought his girlfriend a rose because of this fight they had on a weekend. In my opinion, Christopher Toph is very mature and wants to make a difference in this world and show his loyalty to the people he loves.

He's brought up by his strict parents, taught to keep his room clean, treat guests well and behave himself. But that's not him. Yes, he keeps his stuff at their own place, but his flat still manages to look like a bird's nest. Papers all over the tabletops, his kitchen full of items that could be put away in the cabinets. He does view his home as clean: everything is where it should be. That pile of paperwork is supposed to be right there, waiting for him to start working on it. Those socks are waiting for tomorrow.

Christopher and Lucy share the same interest, painting. Actually that's how they met, at an art class 3 years ago, and they have been together ever since that day. They rarely fight, and when they do, it's always about who's taken the best paint brush.

Today Christopher and Lucy are going on a date. The lovers had a little argument last night, so Christopher thought he could make it up to her and take her to dinner. Christopher picked Lucy up from her house and they drove to Lucy's favorite restaurant called The Best Pizza.

But, The Best Pizza seems to be closed today, so Lucy and Christopher get in a little fight concerning what to do now. They can't decide where to go and how to spend their date, and the date starts to get a little out of hand. First the argument last night, and now this. Things aren't really looking well for them now.

Christopher thought that it might be better to break up with her but as he still loves Lucy, he can't do that. He kept thinking about a solution or an answer to end the problem. He is hoping that he can talk  to Lucy calmly. But he is struggling due to his personality.

Then Lucy came up with an idea to go to her parents house to settle this, because her father is a professional in these things. At Lucy's parents house her father solved their problems with a few tests, and after a two hour talking session they were done. The old argument wasn't bothering them anymore and they came up with an great idea to finish the night off: Going to  a movie and after that deciding together for a place to eat.
